Welcome to Arizona Quail Adventures

Your quail hunting viewing adventure begins with AZ Quail Adventures (AZQA) via AZ Quail Adventures YouTube page.  Whether it is in the scenic desert chasing Gambles Quail, the grasslands after Scalies, or in the breathtaking beauty of Southern Arizona pursuing Means Quail, we cover the whole state.

We may even make a trip or two out of state hunting other birds or visiting our hunting friends.

What to Expect

Quail hunting in Arizona is not for the faint of heart. Expect long walks with varied terrain ranging from relatively benign flatland to steep, mountainous canyons and ravines. These little buggers live in some inhospitable areas. Everything in the desert tries to protect itself by inflicting pain, but the beauty can’t be rivaled!

Our hope is that you through your experience with Arizona Quail Adventures you’ll learn to love the outdoors as much as we do and become an active hunting participant. We want to be part of your foundational experience but, mostly we just want to be able to follow you on social media to see you hunting for years to come!

What to Bring

null

Shotgun

Whatever you shoot best and you can carry for a long duration.
null

Vest

You have to put those shells, water bottles, and birds somewhere.
null

Boots

Very important! You want to wear something you can be in all day. Think ankle support for those football sized rocks hidden in the tall grass.
null

Light Weight Brush Pants (or Chaps)

Light weight brush pants or chaps go a long way to a comfortable hunt.
null

Wear Layers

Mornings can be brisk but by afternoon you’ll be glad to have t-shirt on.
null

Camera

Because if there are no pictures it didn’t happen!
null

Blaze Orange Hat (or other high-visibility color)

While not required by the state you should be safe and visible at all times.
null

Hunting License

Umm… this is kind of important, you need one. Purchase a license here
